Welcome to the Forth Valley Mountaineering Club Website
The club has around 40 members, is informal and sociable, and all our members enjoy the freedom of the hills in whatever ways suit them. We are active in the Scottish and other mountains, in all seasons and covering summer and winter walking, climbing, scrambling, camping, biking and ski-touring.
The FVMC has two Facebook pages; a private page for paid up members and an open page for anyone interested in the club's activities and general mountaineering articles. See the open page on; https://www.facebook.com/ForthValleyMountaineeringClub
PLEASE NOTE THAT DUE TO GOVERNMENT ADVICE CONCERNING COVID 19 THE FVMC ARE SUSPENDING ALL CLUB MEETS AND GATHERINGS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. THIS IS FROM IMMEDIATE EFFECT, STARTING 17/03/20. WE WILL KEEP THE SITUATION UNDER REVIEW (17/03/2020).
Forth Valley Mountaineering Club endorses the Mountaineering Scotland participation statement:
“Mountaineering Scotland recognises climbing and mountaineering are activities with a danger of personal injury or death. Participants in these activities should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions and involvement.”
